Al, we can place blame on a number of things, first and foremost of which is our own sense of timing and sticking to our plans. I bought back into NXTL (for the 5th time) on 10/02 at 27 1/2. 5 days later it went to 32. I failed to follow my short-term plan to sell for a 4-pointer, and held on with hopefulness (aka greed). So, I have only myself to blame for standing here and holding an empty bag. Am hoping we start an upward climb in the very near future.

FWIW, Hong Kong is up 2%, South Korea and China are up, too. The biggest losers are: Japan, Taiwan and New Zealand. Here's a link that tells it all about what's going on around our small world:

Good night.

It takes volume for stocks to move up but they fall under their own weight, volume or no. NXTL's volume has been light so no one can say that the drop in price represents a sudden change in NXTL's shareholders' attitudes/expectations. Instead what we're experiencing is a sea change in market valuation for the ENTIRE market. I'm not in Taft (thank goodness), but I'm not at my usual trusty computer either so I didn't see yesterday's action. But my guess is that the last hour saw program selling and took the universe with it. NXTL, being a NASDAQ stock, gets yo-yoed by the MMs who use days like yesterday to their advantage. Big time.

Anger doesn't enter into the equasion, although fear seems to be gradually eroding greed, if comments on this thread are any indication.

Will the retest hold?

Some have allowed emotion to color their perception of Dec.-Jan. action. I say good because that means that we're getting closer to the bottom. It's at the moment of maximum despair that this market will turn. None of this speaks directly to NXTL's fundos because nothing has changed in that most important part of the story.
