Actually, scientists were predicting GLOBAL WARMING. Now, of course, they have modified that to "CLIMATE CHANGE". Kind of making sure that no matter which way the wind blows, they can claim they were right.

I don't know about that. Joe Bastardi and various others such as the founders of the Weather Channel consider GW to be a fraud. In fact, the "scientists" who are making these claims are the same people who stand to profit from perpetuating the myth.
