Cutting spending is seldom an option considered by Congress. Other than not bringing that up as an option, another thing that irritates me is the usual drivel that goes something like this:

"If we can cut waste, fraud, and abuse (or substitute a different source for cuts), that money can be used for rebuilding infrastructure, investing in education, (or substitute a different program)."

They NEVER talk about cutting spending without mentioning that they intend to simply channel the "savings" into some other type of spending. And then they have the balls to say "the American people know that we need to cut this disastrous debt." They're right! We know it but they don't yet get it. Yet we re-elect them time and time again.

No employer has employees with less accountability than our elected officials. They've got it made and they know it. It's good to be in Congress!
