Here are three posts from the QNTM thread. I think they are interesting and informative because: 1. each post is sensible and pro-QNTM. 2. each post was written by the same person. 3. each post was written on the same day. 4. the separate posts, when compared against each other, indicate the emotional factor in holding a stock that has dropped/is dropping in price, and the rational reasons for holding/buying/possibly selling? the stock. Dale J. summarizes nicely that QNTM is an undervalued stock. But he is also aware that the price could drop further. And he is hoping that the price will go up. techstocks.com To: Dwight E. He only expressed that opinion after the dd companies stock took a nosedive. The dd industry is in trouble though. fujitsu, samsung, toshiba etc.. These guys play for keeps. They are huge conglomerates with deep pockets, and they will be relentless. Qntm however has a a proprietary, high margin, product (DLT) that is being accepted as a de facto standard. It has a strong base and is growing at 100%. They have got good desktop drive products and have excellent marketing. Seg offers investors a dismal outlook. qntm offers investors an optomistic outlook. Today Qntm is ~25, Seg ~24. In other words the street doesn't give a hoot about the facts. But you have to remember that the PE of quantum is not based on normalized earnings, but based on a recovery year of earnings and qntm has unusually strong growth of DLT (100% growth). Also keep in mind that DLT is a substantial part of quantum (45% of the bottom line). The 100% growth projections seem to be firm, since we know that qntm can hardly keep up with demand. We have also seen in recent announcements that Top Tier distributors and top tier computer companies (HP, IBM, cpq, Dell) recently expanded their DLT offerings.
