All good points... I used to have 3 satellite phones but now there is 3G cell coverage in most of the places we work. This is a keeper "The original Government specs rate these boots down to -10 degrees. The secret to their warmth is 2 seperate 1/2" wool felt "insoles" that are situated in between the outsole and the rubber inside lining. A wood shank does not allow cold to penetrate the boot. An extra 1/4" of insulation over the toe box provides furhter warmth. The valve on the outside of the boot allows for atmospheric pressure relief when airborne."
