(TSE: HUM'' and NASDAQ: HUMCF''), the worldwide technology and market leader in the PC to UNIX integration software industry, today announces that Andrew J. Malik, Managing Director and Co-Head of East Coast Technology Banking of Lehman Brothers Inc., has been appointed to its board of directors. Mr. Malik replaces Dr. Michael C.J. Cowpland, President and Chief Executive Officer of Corel Corporation of Ottawa, Ontario, who has served as a director of Hummingbird since July 1993. Dr. Cowpland has resigned from Hummingbird's Board to devote all his time to the business of Corel Corp.
