As a return, I was once subscribed to John Doody and he was down some 75-80% during 2008-2009 meltdown. An estimate, never really calculated it. His portfolio didn't do any better than mine did at that time.

and he charges quite a lot for it

Now I'm subscribed to Tim Wood and have no clue what he is writing. In fact I stopped reading it. :(

To all: any good TA/market timer newsletter writer that actually helps you make money?

I have Ormetal and I'm happy with it

They say to never short a dull market. The fundamentals have never been better for the precious metals market, IMO. Also,the miners haven't looked this good on the weekly since the last intermediate bottom which was July/Aug of 2010:
