dear c2 and all, a few matters: (i) i am happy that i am on a chit chat forum and am getting to know you over time, for in the unreal tournament last man standing death match, it would never be literally down to the last man; (ii) i feel good to have been sharing thoughts with you folks about this financial market and that geo-political situation; (iii) i figure the year 4709 of metal rabbit should be more interest many earlier years, and the fuel for such interest is piled rather high everywhere around the world - which of course means that as and when one pile starts accelerated combustion, others may do so as well, just physics and chemistry; (iv) i am an optimist, and believe after the passage of thorough conflagration, a better world shall arise; (v) in the mean time, for us and ours, must getmoregold. we are fortunate in that we get to put to practice what we read in dusty books obtained from musty archives; the books where they mentioned the odd balls who turned to gold faith in the nick of scratching time, before onset of paper-burning temperature of fahrenheit 451. btw, i read more of what i was not able to read earlier, and a piece (issue 278 dated january 4th 2011) by fred hickey, the tech investment guru, talking gold, his faith since 1998, and his 'outrageous' peak allocation last year peaking at 70+% :0) i cannot post his gumph because it is in pdf format. he also recommended choice path for 2011, that being getgold. another btw, russell suggest getting some remx, that which must rise "... Rare earths -- REMX, the exchange traded fund for rare earths continues to look good. I recommended positions at the recent low. I still like this ETF. The Chinese control 95% of the production of rare earths. Consequently, he US will have to get into rare earth production. Buy REMX at the market, and double up if it closes above 25.5.
