He is asserting, "Non Muslims kill people too." Tell him he wins an award for original thought. After he has the award in his possession, he should sell it and use the money to pay for tuition in courses on statistical analysis and risk analysis. His comments are analogous to someone digging up a relatively rare snowfall event in Orlando, Florida and then telling people in snow-laden New York City, "Bah, stop your whining about snow. It snows in Orlando, too, and they survive!"
