I really do not understand why GTL is not getting more attention. My understanding is that the front end of a Sasol plant simply converts coal to syn gas - which is what the front end of an ammonia plant does with nat gas. This would seem to me to have particular applicability to gas on the north slope.

Bremerton would be a great choice for a new generation nuclear power facility.

It will never happen in Western Washington (or the rest of the state!). Politically its a non-starter. The other factor is we have a glut of electricity here and will for years.. California gets the bulk of our surplus and will for a number of years going forward especially with the new build out of massive wind farms here.
