The "myth" in that article is the notion that Reagan was a hard-line conservative. Even you seem to be buying into that myth. What the article points out is that Reagan actually compromised a lot and made deals with the Democrats in Congress to push his agenda. While never sacrificing his conservative ideals, he nonetheless pursued a pragmatic strategy, according to the article. Even Obama is learning from that. Maybe you should too, especially since the article upholds Reagan's accomplishments in office, rather than portray it as utter destruction as you seem to be doing. Tenchusatsu

Most of what's wrong with America begins with him, from the empire abroad to financial collapse to the budget mess to mentally homeless with guns on da streets to an incoherent energy policy to concentration of megawealth, and that doesn't include what he did to Cal, where our gun totin' homeless predates the rest of the country by about 14 years. Yeah, ending the Cold War and stopping nuclear proliferation wasn't anything. Of course, BEFORE he was elected, nuclear proliferation was a HUGE issue. But after he stopped it, no big deal. You guys are weak, weak, weak. Personally, I cannot WAIT for California to go broke. Totally broke. It will signal the end of an era.
