RE:The progressives are just using them as a tool to destroy our culture because it suits them. Bingo. The green movement is to progressives as Sharia is to Islamists. Both out to destroy the West. Green laws and Sharia are both out to subjugate normal people just trying to live their lives.

A successful carbon tax campaign would bankrupt the mideast and therefore the islamist. True but impossible since China, India and others would not participate and nations that employ a tax would cut their own manufacturing throats and China would reap an even larger portion of the worlds export market using any oil other nations choose not to use. What would work is an economically competitive alternative energy source that even China and India would adopt to save money on manufacturing.
