The entire world does now. Several of the thugs were both injured, and captured by the protesters, and when taken to the hospital emergency rooms discovered with police IDs on them! (Interior Ministry --- a political arm of the ruling party --- runs the police. Also, to Egyptians this is an old, old trick --- using paid thugs to break up opposition rallies --- that the Dictator has used for decades. Many employees of the Interior and the Tourism ministries have reported that they were told they 'couldn't collect their pay checks' until they first participated in pro-Mubarak demonstrations... and busted some heads.) )
