Cost is usually relevant, and this case is no exception. The cost of rapid CO2 emission reduction is enormous. Also even on the narrower question of the direct effects of CO2 emission, the effects can be considered costs, and in many cases could be financial costs.

Ignoring costs when your talking about trillions of dollars is being irresponsible.
