Alex: I agree with your accessment. The final proof will be the OEM testing of production line batteries. No question about that. The positive aspect to all this, however, is it appears VLNC has gotten over most, if not all, of the hurdles they had to get past in order to have a chance at producing Lith-Poly batteries. It appears, if the information provided here by mooter and others is accurate, that VLNC is well on their way to being if not the first, then one of the first, to mass produce this battery type in '98.

Here's to 2 things going forward, 1) the lamination facility successfully turning up in Dec, and 2) successful OEM testing of production product. Meanwhile, I'd expect VLNC to wallow sideways for the next couple of months, allowing lot'sa time to add more to your holdings. Since most folks appear to be holding for that hoped for 1st qrtr beginning, I'd expect any decline from current valuations to be tied to any of the stuff that's currently roiling the worldwide market, ie. yesterdays +150 pt drop, which may cause stop losses to kick in. That just makes it another buying opportunity from my point of view.

Regards!

John~

Thanks Alex, last night I heard from 3 investors who were pleased to have aquired stock at 7 5/8 and 7 3/4. One reminded me of how ULBI went from $10 to $20 with promotion and contract announcements while their single solid-polymer line remains with the Florida equipment equipment vendor.

He added that Valence could make 1000 batteries per day in Henderson Nevada if they were determined to rush to market!

If I recall, it was over 8 months ago that Valence Engineers from Ireland were withnessing initial operation of their line 1 at the same Florida manufacturer's facility.

Another believes we are well within the time frame for a contract.

Regards, FMK
