World wide, how much power is currently be generated by solar and wind...?????

Not much - in the US nuclear is 20% - we could easily and cost effectively make it 50%.

And it is growing exponentially......

From 0 to 1 looks like infinite growth as well.

I never realized solar power can't be generated at night...

Or most of the winter - so a system that's only available 25% of the year had better be really really cheap or it's doomed in most places except the desert. Which makes you wonder why those middle east guys want nuclear instead of solar in iran - hmmmm - gggg.
