My kid is a kid, and she's worried (she's 17). At times, I feel mystified about how different the world is today that even when I was a kid in the 60s, or say the mid 1800s. That so little progress was made for centuries, and then wham, incredible progress. The only way I can reconcile it in my mind is the enormous (gargantuan) legacy energy in oil. All inherited, really. Hard times ahead... people gotta find the things in life which make life worth living and require less energy, less food, less money. Hopefully, there WILL be enough food and water...
