It was tons better! One income family; on that you could own a nice house; a boat; tons of gifts under the Christmas Tree; let your kid run free anywhere in the neighborhood; no worry about finding a job; no worry about your savings; no worry about criminal government; no worry about anything you bought breaking in 3 years; no worry at all if you did it right...

I could go on.

The 50s and 60s in America; can we ever see it again! I think we can; if we keep the values it was founded on and get rid of the criminal cabal!

Extremely well said, my friend. I wish I could press "rec" twice. -g-

I disconnected my television service about five years ago so I wouldn't have to witness the trash and stupidity anymore, or the offensive commercials screaming at me every five minutes. The nonsense on television grew too inane to merit watching anymore. I have never regretted my decision for a moment. In fact, I wish I would have taken that action years earlier.

My wife and I watch an hour of the old black and white television series, commercial free, for entertainment each night before we go to sleep. We're watching season 1 of Perry Mason from the 1950s right now. Barbara Hale was a classy angel and very easy on the eyes! -g-

We finished with all seven seasons of Mission Impossible last month.

It was certainly a better world back then. I try to look at and experience the current world as little as possible these days. -ng-

If the totalitarian bastards begin requiring a license and registration to use the Internet, I'll permanently log off and spend my days at the lake on my ski boat. Come to think of it, that sounds like a pretty good plan! -g-
