Murray,

I have the Print n Share app shown at: mobile.eurosmartz.com

It's not cheap at $9, but it does quite a bit more than support printing on a Mac or PC. The Mac or PC has to install a print server that connects to the machine's attached printers. It can also handle file sharing by making the iPad become a wirelessly attached file server. It does a bunch of other things too.

You probably should check out other print apps. There's a bunch of them and some are free.

Jeff

Wireless printing.

Have you tried HP Print? It is a free App and allows you to wirelessly print out photo and documents from the iOS device of your choice. (Of course, I may be misunderstanding your issue.)

Anyway, I also have an HP 309g at the office. I downloaded HP Print a few months ago and decided to test it out. I chose a picture of my wife (good thing!) and chose print. The status bar showed that it had printed but nothing showed up on my printer. It turned out that I did not select my printer and it defaulted to the HP printer in a colleagues office. You can imagine her surprise when her printer started printing even though she was not printing anything. She is kind of a jumpy individual thought her printer had a mind of its own. I think I can use that next April Fools Day.
