The quarter ends in 2 weeks. A 6 Billion dollar company should have some ideas about this quarter's earning by now. Isn't it time for 3Com to pre-announce something? I don't care they make it or not, I just don't like the "invisibility". Hope 3Com has not downgraded itself to Seagate.

It's about time that COMS puts a sign that reads we are FOR SALE.

Isn't that the stock market. The sign is there, and it reads

"Own this for less than $11B. Or buy a piece for about $29"

People aren't biting, because prominent opinions (not good ones, but well disseminated) say you might be able to buy for less in the near future.

And, as some one already said, it generates volatility, which generates commissions. Why at the expense of the small investor? Should the stock market be any different than anything else in life?
