wouldnt say that misery loves company but Im not making any money this year , probably because december 2010 was an exceptionally good month, and silver and gold stocks retraced a bit from their highs. Seems like the actual performance of the companies has been better than the stock performance so far in 2011. i dont own cisco, dont know it particularly well, but somehow doesnt come across as being the gorilla it once was. prefer ibm and goog, and they seem plenty cheap at these levels.

There was a young man on cnbc today. had to feel for him-graduated with a degree in marketing, got laid off, over $70,000 in student loans, says he doesnt have skills to get rehired and cant afford to get retrained. reminds me of another young man i know graduated from a good school with a degree in marketing cant get hired.
