Jeff, your post is very good and I agree with your premise:

This is tantamount to asking whether the situation and markets over there have stablized, or whether the correction here has bottomed. I think it's too soon to say. A number of techs have either made new
lows or could do so soon. Or this could be the bottom. Have to see how strong this rally is. ASND seems to have support at about 22.5 for the time being.


I agree with all the above; it's a wait and see situation. But according to Ascend, the next several quarters will be unpredicatble, which amounts to a lack of confidence on their part. So, I am inclined to think the slowdown will go beyond this quarter (which is not temporary in the fast world of stocks) .

At this time (11:24 EST) ASND just slid into negative territory on decent volume. Doesn't look good; DOW and Naz have given back 2/3rds of this morning's gains. Oh, well.
