They're not reliable. Though TX's may be more reliable than most. A friend is from Sweetwater and people who live there hate 'em. Says you feel like you're living on the moon.

Despite the fact that they are unreliable and take up a lot of space per amount of electricity produced, I don't have a huge problem with them.

I do have a problem with the idea of trying to rely on them, or with the government trying to distort economic incentives to make more of them.
