Everyone--

According to Webintosh, Apple sold $1.4 million from its new direct sales in the first two days. So orders are accelerating, not fading. The bright spots are that half the sales are non-G3 based and of course the site is currently only "available" to half Apple's customer base. By January things should be really hopping there. I think that Apple could do a million a day in 1998, which is what Dell was doing in 1996.

Also according to Webintosh and PowerWatch, Power has completely stopped selling Mac OS systems. The last PowerCenter 240s have been dumped on MacWarehouse and MacMall.

I see a profit in this quarter, unless the television ads wipe it out.

Marc

Ph: Thanks for the resources.

Looks like Apple price may have stabilized by the end of the trading day, anyway.
