Look, Egypt has been under control for 30 years. The occassional terrorist slips out, but for the most part they haven't been a danger to us or Israel, and the Suez has remained open. Which was just fine with most Americans.

It was fine with me, as well. The point, however, is that detractors from the Iraq War are being proven wrong as these events unfold. It could (and perhaps has already done so) turn to shit. But Bush was correct that if you give a little freedom to the Iraqis, there would be a domino effect. This can no longer be disputed.

We don't know where Egypt will head now, but they are entitled to self-determination. If they become more belligerent, that is something that will have to be dealt with going forward.
