A standard of living that's eroding rapidly for many thanks to the rapid decline in purchasing power that's occurring now, not just for the U.S. dollar, but most fiat currencies. They're all collapsing at the same time. We have now come full circle in the discussion.

I thought the U.S. dollar was the currency for the world. I can buy anything from a vendor on a street almost anywhere in the world with U.S. dollars. It's purchasing power does affect everyone in the world.

I think advances in technology and increasing efficiencies in manufacturing have more to do with a better way of life for some since 1900 than parity in the relative purchasing power of the dollar adjusted for inflation. For others, the majority of souls in this world, they might as well live in 1900 america as they would be better off than they are right now.
