Except our resident Android fan, who will stand in line (consisting of only him and his dogs) at Best Buy for the Xoom, and pay $1199.99 for the POS. (VBG)

At $799 the Motorola Xoom beats the crap out of the iCRAP... it's not even close... NO cameras, NO dual core, NO expansion, NO 4G and 30% LESS screen resolution... and you pay $729 for that... so for $799 you get a 3G/4G tablet, with a DUAL core CPU/GPU, 2 cameras, 30% HIGHER SCREEN resolution, a 10.1" tablet and full exapnsion capabilities... it's like NO comparison...

For $729 with the 3G iCRAP you are LOCKED IN to garbage... it's like throwing your money away... while with the $799 XOOM with its vastly superior hardware specs, 4G and expansion capabilities, you are left holding a superior tablet by every means.. it's like comparing the iCRAP YUGO to a XOOM FERRARI... NO comparison...

I'm not so sure. Basically it's a status symbol for those who don't like Apple. So they are not competing with Apple so much as other Android manufacturers. With that kind of profit margin Moto may do alright.

I'm thinking they decided that the upper end of the market is what they want. They decided they couldn't compete with iPads sot they decided to go where they see vulnerability. The high end.
