Units sold, revenue, earnings and profit share are the key metrics. Market share not so much. A company with high market share and low profit share, like Nokia, for example, is not advantaged. A company like Apple, with moderate to low market share and high profit share is advantaged.

What on earth could give you that idea?

I think the iPhone 4 price will drop to $99 (with contract) within 4 weeks. After all, there's not much point in pre-paying for $1B worth of hardware that sits on the shelf.
