The guy I was replying to had just leveled a false accusation against me. There is a difference between providing backup and mitigating someones laziness. I provided both companies' fiscal year earnings, conveniently converted to dollars for the arithmetically challenged, which is the proper basis for comparison. At no time did I suggest I was comparing results from phone sales, nor was that the intent. In fact,there is not sufficient material publicly available for determination of this amount for either entity. What you CANNOT do is to arbitrarily add and subtract quarters from the annual results since that leads to misrepresentation of the business cycle of the respective companies. My only remark was that they made about the same amount of money which was shown to be accurate. If I make a mistake I have no discomfort in admitting it. But to date, no person here has brought any such mistake to my attention.
