For even though I fear for his financial health as a long in a tulipmania valued at more than a third the GDP of South Korea

pretty amazing when considering a PE of under 20!

>>In the three or so times that Cogito has implicitly threatened to ban me, I simply did not reply.<<

Dude, I don't threaten to ban people, and I haven't done so in your case.

If you had stepped out of line you would have gotten a warning, and then a ban for a repeat offense.

So far, you've managed to be civil, so you're still here.

Its DorEn by the way an Irish name. No biggie, I'm used to it.

He's not banned from reading.

Just pointing out I've been negative but never or very little on a personal level I hope. I try not to react even to insults.

AND debating is different than arguing. In debating you try to make your point, you don't try to wear down the other person to "PROVE" something. I'm just pointing it out, not accusing.

Zax,

For someone to call others biased when they have their full blinders on is very interesting.

Plenty of negative posters here if you are paying attention. And people pay attention to them here. I know I do because it is important to present day shareholders to know what the competition is up to and what the shortcomings of the company are.

That is all I will say on the matter.

Good luck to you.

Neal

<< For even though I fear for his financial health as a long in a tulipmania valued at more than a third the GDP of South Korea, I get the feeling i-node is not the type who would go down with the ship the way many others here are pre-destined to.>>

Apple's ttm P/E is under 20, mid-teens ex-cash. Its forward P/E is 13.65 . Those are very low P/E's for a company that is growing as rapidly as Apple is. It is not tulipmania by any definition of the word.

As far as going down with the ship, no stock goes straight up, and the shares and the indices have done very well since the first of the year. I have taken a lot off the table for the short-term - but all of my Apple investing and trading has been in options since last summer.

My partner and I are 59% cash as I type this, and 17% in staid, dividend paying stocks - this in our IRAs, where I do this type of investing.

Best wishes to you as you go forward and try to make some money

Wow, this is the most amusing post I have read in a long time and perhaps the most succinctly put that explains one of my favorite personal sayings "there can be no objective thought within a subjective mind".

"Voiceless masses". "Distortion Field". Classic, I love it! I'm falling out of my chair here.

I will always stand completely incredulous at those that will enter a room, forum or other assemblage of successful individuals only to exclaim that those within are clueless. I see it in business and I see it online, and the result in the end is always the same.

You are not a god sir and those that agree with you are not your disciples. You have an issue, truly, you do. You have an outlaw complex the size of which I haven't seen in some time. And I marvel at the fact that you can go on record with how wrong you've been and still profess your intelligence, "inspired genius" and insults like a maladjusted 8 year old.

It's time for you to be done here and go start your own church.

What you offer here is no longer about Apple (it really never has been), investment opinion or objective information. That is all I care about in my time here and you are wasting my time.
