It wont affect the company at all. I would suggest covered calls though.....December 10's will probably go for about 1/2.

This should not affect the price either way, as the OCC (Options Clearing Corp.) will just buy contract from party A and sell it to party B. It may increase institutional visibility though, which is always a positive.

Lee, the initiation of options trading is almost always a good thing for a stock. Many portfolio managers will not buy a stock that does not trade options, since that means that they can't use options to hedge.

Of course, the other thing we need is to get over $10, as a lot of portfolio managers won't buy a stock under $10.
