After "officiating" the switch for my sister and her husband from Ameriprise to Ameritrade I find them hard to beat as far as customer service.

Among their perks to choose from I had them choose the $500 ( depends on amount transferred ), and essentially moved them out of everything they owned and started over for free. My brother in law made a few bucks in the deal.

My sis was seriously worried something about her 72 T would get messed up, but all came off without a hitch.

EKS, wondering if you ever got the list--my TDA rep is mot being very helpful:

Ameritrade is going to send me a list of those Canadian Companies that offer a reinvestment DRIP w/ a stock discount. These companies may be potential new buy candidates. Both PVX & PWE are good dividend paying companies IMO.
