I went to two Tea Party gatherings and the people that I saw there were like me, just average Joes and Janes. The only thing different that I saw was that the grounds were pristine after everybody left. No trash or garbage anywhere.

Neeka, somebody mentioned 'strange bedfellows' today. I think we could really see a lot of that going forward. If govt. debt issues create the havoc I'm anticipating, my bet is we'll see a lot of realignment going on. Party switching and special interest groups banding together.

As I've said here before, my guess is that whichever political party comes up with a serious but reasonable debt reduction plan (or just stop the growth if that's possible), will own the political landscape for maybe twenty years.
