What started out as an inventory aid can turn into "big brother" depending on who wants to know something.

I thought the initiative WMT started with rfid's would settle the "spoilage" that takes place at the retail level. At least to a large extent. And the by-product would be a data miner's candy shop. And to some degree, I'm sure it is.

And since we've heard little to nothing of that technology for a while, I'm sure that "big brother" is hot on the trail, to ensure our purchases will be recorded and taxed appropriately; down to the last sheet of TP. ;-)

Keep us snidely thieves honest, if you know what I mean. (g)
