Pulled this off the IOM thread:

Clique available in the SECOND HALF OF 1998?

This thing will be delayed almost 2 YEARS.

Too little, too late. You can bet that Flash cards will have gotten a lot
cheaper by then, as well as give more time for a host of other competing
products. Bail out now.

And this:

Partners for No.Hand (Clik):

No Kodak
No Sony
No Fuju
No Canon
No Sharp
No Sanyo
No Panasonic

No Hope

Also:

I have repeatedly cautioned people here about the durability issue. Where
did you read the info where they were having problems with durability in
Clique?

Performance data from IOM on the Clik! How does this compare with flash (I assume slower)?:

Performance
Average seek time Less than 25ms
Sustained transfer rate 700KB/sec avg.
1000KB/sec max.
500KB/sec min.
Rotational speed 2941 rpm
Latency (average rotational delay) 10.2 ms
Average start/stop time .6/.5 sec.

And another concern about durability:

"No where? I haven't read any info on durability of click or nhand. Just think
about it, spinning disk!
"Hey honey; toss me the camera....Hah, what happened to the pictures we
took?"
I'm going to need that info on duribility before I buy a camera and take
pictures that are irreplaceable."

Also pulled this off the IOM thread:

"And check out the concept of a device which will allow you to copy flash
cards to Clik! disks. So you can use your current digital camera with its two
or four megabyte flash card, then offload each set of pictures to a Clik! disk,
and then take more pictures on the flash card."

I mentioned this a couple of postings back when discussing Atmel connection. The clik! may end up being a great place to keep your "electronic photo album" while flash actual captures the image in the camera.

One of the companies (IOM or SNDK) will probably develope a the device that you plug your CF card and clik! into to download images to clik! disk.

Just read the Citizen & Matsushita press releases for clik! - "NON-BINDING" agreements - sounds like some of these companies may be covering -want to cover all bases by licensing whatever is out there. And no other companies have agreed to license yet.
