I see no evidence of them advancing. My guess is that these people will wake up soon and realize that they are still poor and hungry. Mubarak, while no doubt part of the problem, is really just an excuse, similar to the great Satan (us), or Israel, or whatever. All of their problems are the fault of someone else, and in the case of the vast majority that's even probably true given that they are completely powerless in their own lives. Regardless, they have no experience with taking personal responsibility and don't have the tools to do so. It's not taught, it's not modeled. I do not expect them to advance.
