Dear Jack : The Lord is really showing up here, thanks to a lot of people who have been praying..I just want it as an opportunity to minister, no more no less. I want to start some discussions on tithes and offerings and I thought that I would get it yesterday when I expounded on the necessary elements of a contract and how that man's idea of the contract originated with God. Just as a contract has to involve consideration, so are the tithe and offering to our covenant relationship . Can you really imagine a person coming before God in the judgement day and saying yes I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savoir but OH... I meant to offer you tithes and offerings ; just never got around it.. the tithe was the "pillar" that supported God's house in his covenant with Jacob, and still is. I have an interesting story to tell you..very true.. There was this older gentelman, lifelong Christian, that I was talking to about tithing. I asked him if he tithed he said usually he gave around 5 % . I asked him if God had blessed him...he said OH you bet ! I told him--well can you imagine how much MORE God would have blessed you had you given 10 %.. This man was in his eighties. . He got this funny look on his face and tells me..... Sonny !! You know,THAT RIGHT THERE is the reason I don't give the full 10%.... I have all that I need and more than I ever thought I would have....If God blessed me any more than what he already has I don't know what I would do with it.. He's given me too much already......Well I walked away speechless !! .....gregor

For honor and money always go together. The one who wants to be honored by other men is nearly always trapped into the love of money, because worldly people love money so much that they automatically give great honor to the one who has much money, no matter how little deserving of honor or respect he may be--- If you embrace this virtue--desiring to be poor in heart because you want to learn to love and rely on God, and Him alone--then you are free indeed.
