I would stay away from CSCO right now. Too much profit built into it that hasn't been taken. The market has to be shaken further to dislodge CSCO longs, but that could happen as a reasonable likelihood given the current events worldwide. I think COMS as a trade is dead money, but as a longterm holding over 2 years, this is an astounding opportunity and it might not take 2 years to double your money. Ascend is behind COMS as a long, but not as a trade near-term. I wouldn't buy Ascend till it goes down another quantum leap to below 20. Then you might get a trade and then it will settle into its bottom where that will be will be clear. All the momentum will go out of Ascend. I like BAY at $16, ASND at $12, COMS at $24, CSCO at $45.

Technical Question: For A Tech Type I was wondering, I heard on CNBC an analyst talking about how the telcos have decided they want ATM and yet this isn't the best protocal out there. What is this buy talking about? Analyst sometimes don't know much about tech issues and say the damndest things. Are they talking about IP versus ATM or frame relay? The reason telcos want ATM is for video support and that is smart of them. What is the outlook for Cascade in the networking area? What is the mix for the strength in this part of Ascend? I haven't followed this much.
