You are so right. And I could have been the one, because the idea of it doesn't resonate at all. Maybe it's because there's no serious, current proposals.

I've had this thought today, too. The wealth tax is one more European tax, and I was wondering what the total cost of implementation must be for such a convoluted, layered system of taxation.

I think it goes without saying on this thread. It de-incentivizes wealth and is an even bigger assault on property than an income tax, IMO.
