16,500 more IRS agents needed to enforce Obamacare

Isn't that just so durn terrific.

But that isn't all. Just yesterday I got a letter from DOD Finance explaining why another $49 in taxes was deducted from my retirement check last month and will be going forward.

Earlier today, I received an email from the Army MYPAY system explaining the cost of military family medical care and prescriptions are going up too.

It is ok. We can afford it. Nevertheless, I am writing letters to my Congresspersons and asking how much their tax withholding went up last month and how much more of a family health care co-pay they will have to pay.

It is about shared sacrifice and all that...Right?

up to 16,500 new IRS personnel will be needed to collect, examine and audit new tax information mandated on families and small businesses

This is good for the economy. Those agents will buy things, which will cause growth in employment (much of it in China, but some locally, too). And they will continue spending even after they retire, on government pensions.

Those new agents will be under pressure to collect in new taxes and fees far more than it would take to cover their salaries. This will make individual taxpayers and businesses work harder, as they try to survive. They will become more productive... and ain't that a good thing?

Do not despair, think of all the silver linings.... our political classes are watching very closely on which side the bread is buttered.
