I actually like the healthcare bill. It cost the dems the house and Obama his second term.

They don't have the power to defund it without the votes in the Senate.

You don't need a vote in the Senate to defund it. You need a vote in both the House and the Senate to fund it. If the house continues to vote not to fund it, it isn't funded. (The same would go for the Senate, or for the president vetoing any bill that funds it, if the veto isn't overwritten, but those things aren't going to happen with the Senate and the president we have now.)
