Steve,
Re -- 30% marketshare by 2001..

Thats Jerrys fresh start and "if at first you don't succeed.." philosophy.

Time to do a reset. And start again with a goal of 30% market share in 2001.

Of course in 2001, the Dresden fab with its superwhizy .12u will be online, the K8+3D+Sound+, 64 bit processor will be better than the merced..

Time for the stock to begin rising again, so he can sell his options.

However, the AMD's stock price should first go to 9-10, before the cycle will repeat. If not its not really a cycle.

Steve,
Keep in mind, AMD is not one man company, Intel neither too.
When Vin Dham left Texas Instrument and Intel, did he make TXN and INTC down? Technology's developments are team work - a group of elite of company. I believe what AMD officials said.

Best wishes

James
