I agree. Google's core search is getting worse and worse. Personally I'd like to see them improve the advanced search. Something AltaVista once did the best until they screwed it up. The changes Google's made to their advanced search have been pretty brain dead from a usability perspective. For example what possessed them to hide the "Date, usage rights, numeric range, and more?" Blogs. Love to have an anti-blog feature. Nothing worse than a one page blog that is 10 years old loaded down with giant images, flash movies and other crap. 99.9% of blogs are useless IMHO. Too many keyword spam pages now. What they really need is to have a feature that tally's ratings either up or down on each page they list. That would quickly allow them to eliminate SEO spammers. Sheech they have zillions of people using Google, why not harness all those people like Craigslist does? Love googlemaps but the same thing applies. Every time they upgrade it its worse.
