When I sit by a fire, and toss a piece of wood on, or a piece of paper, it burns more brightly and I get hot and have to move away. Apparently variation in the sun's output is trivial compared with 0.01% volume extra CO2 in the air.

With the big solar flare zooming towards Earth, apparently we should worry more about SUV mileage.

Similarly, a quiescent, conking-out sun entering a multi-century low is also not a worry [with respect to reglaciation]. Presumably the extra CO2 from people should more than hold the line against reglaciation.

Somehow, the size and output of the sun makes me think our CO2 efforts are trivial. Even if all the fraction of a degree increase over a century is ascribed to human CO2 output, it doesn't seem much, which is what I'd expect. The best proof of theories is success in reality [without having to adjust the theory AFTER the event to make the theory match reality].
