The UAW wouldn't have been a big factor had upper mgmt been doing their job.

It wouldn't have been as big of factor, partially because if management did a great job the drag of the unions would not have been as painful, and partially because the unions didn't get the control and benefits they had without management signing the contract.


Upper mgmt was weak, corrupted and lacked any sort of vision. They constantly lobbies DC to keep cafe standards low. The auto industry had become lazy and slow.....more concerned with their perks than business. That's why Obama had to get people from outside the industry to take over.

Yup, those UAW union contracts are to "blame" for creating much of the middle class of this country.

Yup, "blame"...that is the way your crowd thinks.
