Google has developed those things to in part drive internet traffic by giving them away, true. So the result is an OS that, if it achieves Sylvestor's dreams of world domination, is driven by what can drive ad revenue. That,s not what I'd like to see driving innovation. I prefer a more balanced system where each value created is value paid for. Afterall you won't always be able to count on Google ripping off the copyright page and scanning books so you can get a free ride unless maybe they can put a few ads between the pages
