Initially a less than "Big Announcement" probably because most of us on this thread were expecting a "Really Big Announcement" I for one am not completely dissapointed. The statements indicate that IOM is maturing from a one product company into the leader of the removable storage area. As a firm they are demonstrating forward thinking and good timimg (aside from the split thing). For the OEMs this has got to be a good thing. Now they can consentrate on the camera, palm PC, Phone, organizer ... and let the IOM, the recognized leader, worry about the data storage. Plus it will be a selling point to say Clik! built in. The day traders may be bumming, the momentom players may be bumming, but the long term believers will reap the benefits. 10 MILLION ZIPS, Laptops shipping, twice as many shares, predicted blockbuster next qtr. We will just have to wait another week or two to break $35.
