"Floating axe heads do not fit into my concept of the universe."

Of course they don't, but that may have more to do with the Procustean Bed that Philosophical Naturalism compels you to, than anything else.

"There is a huge difference between asserting and teaching. To assert means "I submit the following for discussion." To teach means "Listen to the truth as I know it.""

Agreed: but to say that something "cannot" be, is a statement of fact.

"The planetwide flood didn't happen."

A couple of points are worth making here.

First: You need to establish that the bible indeed asserts that a "planetwide flood" to be a fact, vs a localized flood. There are issues of proper interpretation to be considered in determining that.

Second: I don't know how you could possibly know as a fact that a planet wide flood never happened. I live a couple of hours from the Burgess Shale and I assure you that all those fossilized sea creatures are now found at the top of a mountain. What conclusive proof do you have that at some point in the past there was not a planet wide flood?
