The Iraq War is what it is -- a mistaken waste of lives and multi-trillion dollars of our treasure, that consumed W presidency. It represents lost opportunity costs as well.

Perhaps if W had been a little LESS occupied with not LOSING his special war, he'd have seen the problems in the banking and RRE sectors and headed off the Bush Great Recession? Very doubtful, but at least possible.

"We are now facing popular uprisings all over the Mideast, and we are stuck with what can only be considered a grossly incompetent White House running the show as it happens"

Democracies on the rise.....isn't that what you want? Things are going pretty well in the ME right now...... We are not the most hated nation with the most hated president in the world anymore..
