These fanboys just have no idea just how much Apple is despised among the majority of computer professionals.

At the office, "IT Types" that those in fanboy central refer to, just love having to support the privileged few allowed to have their super-sexy Macs at the office.

This support privilege inevitably involves having to set up a PC next to their Mac so they can get any real work done.

Honestly, our CEO trolled me how happy he was to finally be able to get rid of his PC, stating the same lines of bullsh*t our new friend stated. Six weeks later, of course, he was ordering our CIO to install a PC in his office next to the Mac. Next, after requesting the CIO spend a couple of hours a day configuring his "network friendly" mac for some weeks, he ordered our CIO to install Microsoft Entourage on his Mac. The one that was supposed to run Windows but seemed to need the XP VM image rebooted 10 times a day and rebuilt every week. Yeah, our CIO was pretty happy about that, if you know what I mean. Since our PCs are typically on an 8 year replacement cycle, and the Mac users are special and get a 2 year replacement cycle for their shiny toys that seem to get old really really quick, they especially love the extra opportunity the Macs give those IT types to use up that commodity we have so much to spare of... time.

Just gives us real warm and fuzzies thinking about the iPad hitting the enterprise. Let me tell you about the chance of that happening. Somewhere between zero, zilch, and nada.
